Happy Boofey Jeff!

When Jeff and I were first married, we fell in love with a little boy named Tyler. He was three and couldn't say "Happy Birthday". Instead, he would say "Happy Boofey" and somehow it's stuck with us ever since.

So, Happy 34th Boofey Jeff. I love you and you are my most favorite! My favorite thing about your birthday is knowing I have now had the privledge of celebrating a dozen birthdays with you. I look forward to dozens and dozens more!

Also, Happy Birthday to our favorite 4 year old Crittenden cousin, Lezlee, and to our favorite brown Grandpa! We love you both.

Yes, and for those who are wondering, that is a chocolate cake from Portillos. I think Jeff assumes that is what heaven will taste like.

Beautiful Bear Mountain

Bear Mountain in the name of my parent's ranch east of Heber, Utah. The setting is just breathtaking. Really. Here are some of the latest shots Jeff got this month when we went for Spring Break.

What I'd love to do all day...

I really do love to sew. I love fabric, I love fabric stores, I love to quilt, I love to make skirts and the like for my girls. There is basically no craft I don't enjoy.

Here's what I've been up to this week.

A little something for me:

A little something for someone I like a whole lot:

A little something for Addison:

Evolution of an Easter Photo

Here's what it takes to try to get a decent picture of my kiddos in their Easter outfits. Note that she went from sad, to happy, and then back to sad. Why post the one perfect looking shot, when the blooper shots are just as, if not more, fun?

I would call this one the money shot.

Happy Easter!

The Real Deal

While we were in Utah for spring break, we got to go to the opening night for the Real Salt Lake, pronounced "Ree - Al" (like big Al), soccer season. Thanks to some good friend's of my parents, we had really great seats. And, thanks to some really great cousins, Adrianne and Meredith, we were able to leave Addison at home.

We brought Great-Grandpa Critt along and it was so fun to get to visit with him.
Along with the great seats came a never ending buffet of yummy things to eat. For Jackson this included about 5 pieces of watermelon, chocolate chip cookies, popcorn and Sprite to drink. Delaney's cup of popcorn never fell below half -full all night and she threw in a hot dog for good measure. What could be better than unlimited amounts of food, all available at kid height? One of the funniest things of the evening were the fans in the south stands. They brought huge flags and drums and beat on the drums all night long. The funniest part is that they jump, all.night.long., to the beat of the drum. They set a great atmosphere for the game and certainly kept the excitement of the night going.
There was a private balcony below our seats that we had access to, and Delaney loved going out onto it. If for no reason than to get our attention and wave like crazy at us.
The final score? 4-1 Real won! In the last 10 minutes of the game, it started pouring rain (but didn't deter the jumping, drumming fans from the south stands!). We had a blast at our first professional soccer game and are so appreciative of the invite!

April Fool's

This must be an April Fool's joke, right? April 1st, and we wake up to a foot of new snow. I suppose it's Mother Nature's idea of a cruel joke. After a long, cold winter, I'm finding little humor in our "spring" break weather. We are now at a grand total of 2 1/2 feet of snow since we arrived, with two more storms expected before we leave.
I'm trying to remember if it's December or April...

Mother Nature has gotten the last laugh on this one.
