While we were in Utah for spring break, we got to go to the opening night for the Real Salt Lake, pronounced "Ree - Al" (like big Al), soccer season. Thanks to some good friend's of my parents, we had really great seats. And, thanks to some really great cousins, Adrianne and Meredith, we were able to leave Addison at home.
We brought Great-Grandpa
Critt along and it was so fun to get to visit with him.

Along with the great seats came a never ending
buffet of yummy things to eat. For Jackson this included about 5 pieces of watermelon, chocolate chip cookies, popcorn and Sprite to drink. Delaney's cup of popcorn never fell below half -full all night and she threw in a
hot dog for good measure. What could be better than unlimited amounts of food, all available at kid height?

One of the funniest things of the evening were the fans in the south stands. They brought huge flags and drums and beat on the drums all night long. The funniest part is that they jump, all.night.long., to the beat of the drum. They set a great atmosphere for the game and certainly kept the excitement of the night going.

There was a private balcony below our seats that we had access to, and Delaney loved going out onto it. If for no reason than to get our attention and wave like crazy at us.

The final score? 4-1 Real won! In the last 10 minutes of the game, it started pouring rain (but didn't deter the jumping, drumming fans from the south stands!). We had a blast at our first professional soccer game and are so appreciative of the invite!
