The league made it a really big deal. He got a personalized letter from our Congressman, there was a band playing behind the outfield, the national anthem was played, an announcer introduced all the players and continued to announce the game as it went along. All in all it was a really fun afternoon.
Here is he and his other teammate running onto the field, while being announced. (I'd post a video, but blogger and my home movies don't get along)
He and his teammate from his regular team, in their All Star team hats. This pic is for the Critter side of the family - all firmly Red Sox fans. Jackson was thrilled to tell that side of the family when he found out what team he was playing for this season.
Jackson had a great game. He got in a couple nice hits and was really pleased with his performance. The game ended in a 5-5 tie, so all were happy.
And, a shout out to his sisters who continue to patiently sit through several 2+ hour games a week. Lucky for them that this time the ice cream truck showed up. Makes all that waiting even easier!

Way to go, Jackson!
Yay for Jackson! You rock! Love little miss Addie eating her snowcone. We're so sad we won't see you this summer. :( Tell Jackson my Red Sox cap definitely made it's way to Girl's Camp last week.
That is a SWEET action shot of Jackson! I bet it is so fun to see your child excel in and be so excited about something. Way to go Jackson!!!
Good job, buddy!
