Butterfly House

Our local park district has a Butterfly House and it's always on our list of things to do in a summer. This summer was hotter than normal, so we waited for a day when we wouldn't melt, talked some friends into joining us, and spent a morning watching and identifying butterflies.

The boys were much more interested in finding the different species of butterflies than the girls. In fact, the girls were bored after about 5 minutes.

There were a lot fewer butterflies this year than in years past. Delaney's 1st Grade class just went to the butterfly house last Friday for a field trip, and there were just as few. Of course, it never occurred to me to ask why...

The shirts or dresses (I can't tell which they are) that the girls are wearing are too cute! Where oh where did you find those?

Steph - Addie's is a dress and D's is a shirt...they're Liberty of London for Target. But I got them in the spring.
